Waikato International College Convenes the First Meeting of the Fourth Joint Management Committee

On October 28, Waikato International College held the first meeting of its fourth Joint Management Committee. Against the important backdrop of the China–New Zealand comprehensive strategic partnership entering its second decade, the two sides reached a series of strategic consensuses on deepening cooperation in vocational education and jointly cultivating talent for the digital era, charting a clear blueprint for future collaboration.

Those attending the meeting included Warwick Pitts, President of Waikato Institute of Technology; Girish Nair, Director of the International Department; Mark Liu, Manager of Cross-border Education; and Nathan Dunbar, Project Manager; LIANG Kedong, President of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology ; heads of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges; and members of the leadership team of Waikato International College. The meeting was chaired by JUVT Vice President CHEN Hairong.

During the meeting, the two parties jointly signed the Memorandum of International Cooperation between Jinhua University of Vocational Technology and the New Zealand National Institute of Technology. The memorandum will further strengthen practical cooperation in such key areas as jointly established undergraduate programs, faculty and student exchanges, and scientific research collaboration.
