On August 11, the closing ceremony of the Faculty Skill Enhancement Workshop on Electrical Automation System Design and Commissioning was held at IPRC Musanze. Vice President Chen Hairong and relevant officials from the Depatment of International Cooperation and Exchanges of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology(JUVT) attended and delivered remarks on line. President Emile and Vice President Esdras of IPRC Musanze, the head of Musanze International College of JUVT, and all participating automation faculty members attended.


Vice President Chen highly affirmed the achievements of cooperation between the two institutions since 2013 and emphasized that this training is an important practical step in implementing the “People-to-People Exchange Partnership Initiative” under the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing Action Plan (2025–2027).

In his remarks, Emile expressed heartfelt gratitude for the JUVT’s long-term support and the effective work of the training team, and he commended the trainees for their active participation.

Co-organized by JUVT and IPRC Musanze, the program included a two-week intensive training phase and a two-month individualized coaching phase. Eighteen teachers from the Rwanda Polytechnic campuses in Musanze, Tumba, Karongi, and Huye participated. The training covered more than ten integrated system design projects, including multi-speed control using an Inovance PLC control cabinet, traffic light control with a Siemens PLC, and robotic arm teaching and 3D printing, and integrated discussions on course design and pedagogy.
