The Director of the South African Transport Training Authority Visits Jinhua University of Vocational Technology to Jointly Draw a New Blueprint for Sino-African Vocational Education Cooperation

On June 6th, Lena Maphefo Anno-Frempong, the Director of the South African Transport Training Authority, led a delegation to visit Jinhua University of Vocational Technology, embarking on an in-depth dialogue on Sino-African educational cooperation with a focus on Technology Empowerment in Vocational Education Internationalization. Representatives from the Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Center, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Research Institute at Zhejiang Gongshang University, Tiansheng Heavy Industry, China-Africa Bridge, and other institutions and enterprises accompanied the visit. President Liang Kedong and Vice President Chen Hairong of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology(JUVT)accompanied the delegation.

The delegation visited the University's history museum, the Intelligent Precision Manufacturing Industry-Education Park, the AI Maker Workshop, the Virtual Simulation Training Center, and the Drone Operation Training Field. They observed the advanced training equipment and teaching scenarios up close and highly praised the school's modern vocational education concepts and practices, such as industry-education integration, competition-education integration, and the unity of theory and practice.When they learned that students could complete the precision assembly of engines through a remote real-scenario control system, Anno-Frempong personally tried it out and exclaimed, This is not just a teaching site; it is a preview of the future factory. She noted that South Africa is prioritizing the development of the transportation sector and plans to introduce the competition-education integration experience from JUVT. She emphasized the intention to focus on cooperation in heavy machinery maintenance, industrial robot technology, drone technology, and teacher training programs to enhance the employability of South Africa's young and middle-aged population.

At present, JUVT, with its profound background in vocational education and innovative talent cultivation models, has become an important hub for Sino-African skills cooperation. As Anno-Frempong said,This place is not only a temple of technology, but also a bridge of friendship between China and Africa. This visit and exchange mark another key step for JUVT in itsvocational education going global strategy, and inject new impetus into serving the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Africa.
