On March 19th, Value Platform Industrial Rwanda Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Value Platform”) held its grand opening ceremony in the Rwamagana Industrial Zone in the Eastern Province of Rwanda.
The ceremony was attended by Wang Xuekun, the Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, Yuan Fengjun, the Chairman of Beijing Yeho International Consulting Co., Ltd., Zhang Liang, the General Manager of Transfar Group's Daily Necessities Company, Qian Xiangming, the Dean of the Musanze International College of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology, and some graduates of the “Future of Africa-Vocational Education Cooperation Plan” from the university.
At the ceremony, a special letter of appreciation from Value Platform to Jinhua University of Vocational Technology was released. The letter expressed sincere gratitude to the university for its proactive support of the Transfar Group’s laundry detergent project in Rwanda. The university provided 20 outstanding graduates for the project, which helped the project quickly break through the bottleneck in talent recruitment and alleviated the shortage of local skilled personnel.
As early as the preparatory stage of Value Platform, the university actively engaged with the enterprise to understand its needs and addressed the local high-skilled talent gap in Rwanda by specifically sending outstanding graduates in Electrical Automation and E-commerce. The 20 young Rwandans who joined Value Platform this time are the graduates of the “Future of Africa-Vocational Education Cooperation Plan” from Jinhua University of Vocational Technology in January of this year. These young technical talents, with their professional studies and enterprise practice in China, have become the backbone of technology and business for Chinese enterprises in Rwanda, providing key support for the smooth launch of the enterprise.
“The ‘precision talent cultivation’ model of Chinese vocational education is truly amazing!” said the person in charge of Value Platform. The in-depth cooperation between the university and the enterprise has not only solved the bottleneck of labor for the enterprise but also laid the foundation for the company's long-term development in Africa through the “localization of talent” strategy. The professionalism and innovation ability demonstrated by the project graduates have become a benchmark for the company's localized operations.
Looking to the future, Value Platform has expressed a strong desire to further deepen its cooperation with the university, hoping that both sides can continue to promote the deep integration of vocational education and industrial demand, and jointly cultivate high-level technical and skilled talents. Jinhua University of Vocational Technology will also continue to implement the“Future of Africa-Vocational Education Cooperation Plan” in depth, making greater contributions to the deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Rwanda and the building of a China-Africa community with a shared future.
